Literary Magazine: Pen and Paper: They are currently preparing for this year’s Coffee House, which is Friday, December 8 at 6 p.m. They are hard at work promoting the event, and they’re hoping to pack the theater with creative students who want to perform, display, or listen to artistic expressions. The club is very excited to be having the event in December so they can embrace the cozy, warm vibes. Submission forms will be posted outside the English office and posted on English teachers’ Schoology pages, and look out for some coordinated events with the Knights Café. Amidst the planning, they’ve been writing: writing creepy short stories, imagery-centered narratives, personal poems. They’re always looking for new members to join the creative community.

French Club: November was a busy month for French Club as they celebrated their annual National French Week. French Club wrote inspirational messages on mustaches and put them on several lockers to spread the French language throughout the school. They also put up posters with famous French people for all students to read including the likes of Victor Hugo, Claude Monet, and Blaise Pascal. They then played French music in the halls, sold 200 chocolate croissants in less than 2 hours, wrote merci notes to teachers and had a special French Club celebration with cinnamon roll Belgian waffles. Over 100 French students purchased their French shirt this year as a fundraiser for French Club and wore them to school this past Monday. Next up for French Club is a joint holiday celebration with French, Spanish and German Club. Vive le francais!!
