FCS: The FCS Club will not start its meeting dates until October, so stay tuned and listen to details for more announcements on exact dates and times.

Pen and Paper: Literary Magazine will be meeting this year on Wednesdays right after school in A209. Coffee House will once again be in December, and this year, we’re very excited to be teaming up with the Art Department to expand our gallery walk! We’re planning on a wider variety of submissions and reaching an even larger population of North’s creative minds. Also, we’re working on giving Coffee House ticket sales as a possible donation to some nonprofits in Chicago as a way to give back to other creative communities.

Chess Club: The Chess Club will meet every Friday in 249.  All you can eat Cheese Balls every week (Not all you can drink Capri Suns, but everyone can have one or two).  Beginners are the most welcome. The Chess Club intends to participate in the annual NLCC chess invitational, in which teams and individuals compete for a chance to move on to the state tournament.  We’re also hoping to start a home-and-away chess match against Central this year for D127 chess bragging rights.

Outdoor Adventure Club: The Outdoor Adventure Club will be kicking off the school year with their Kayak trip up in Milwaukee, WI this September.  Details about the trip will be coming out soon. Listen for announcements and check the activity board up by the main TV for details about future trips this school year.

Psychology Club: Psychology Club meets every Wednesday from 3:20-4:20.  In addition to all of the fun activities and discussions we have each week, this Fall, Psychology Club is raising awareness for Human Trafficking and is organizing a Walk for Freedom on October 20th that students will be raising money for over the next several weeks. If you would like to get involved in this very important endeavor, please contact Mrs. Dodd for more information. We would love to have you join us!

Yearbook: Yearbook has designed and finalized the 2018-19 cover! We will be conducting interviews during upcoming athletic competitions, homecoming week, and the homecoming dance. Look out for upcoming questionnaires posted to Schoology to be featured in the yearbook.
