Thirteen Reasons Why is a book written about a teenage girl that takes her own life.
I believe that the story was very well written and controversial. It was written by author Jay Asher and was on the New York Times best seller list.
The story is about a boy named Clay. He goes home from school one day and finds a box with his name on it. The box was filled with 13 cassette tapes made by Hannah Baker, his crush who commited suicide two weeks beforehand.
Each of the cassette tapes were assigned to a different person, explaining how they pushed her to commit suicide.
I love this piece because it’s so emotional and heartfelt. It almost makes you feel like you’re with the characters.
This is one of the best books I’ve ever read. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
